2014 Survey Response:

I have been a firefighter for over 27 years. First as a volunteer at age 16 and then hired as a career professional at age 21. I committed myself to the service of the citizens of my district. To protect life at all costs, even at the cost of my own life. I have done everything I could to keep little babies hearts beating and I will take no action that could stop one.

I do believe life begins at conception. Our Constitution protects LIFE, LIBERTY and the pursuit of HAPPINESS. I will and have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution. Those who lives are currently in jeopardy have a right to representation under the law.

In response to your concerns about a new casino, I do not think it is appropriate that our citizen’s rights are limited, while at the same time tribes can make money at what is deemed illegal in WA.

I am a strong advocate for parental rights.  When it comes to sex education in schools I have concerns. What we think of sex education is nothing close to what we were taught and often times is presented in a co-ed classroom. As parents my wife and I took the time to talk with our children about the consequences and did not see that as the school’s responsibility.  Parents should be informed about what will be discussed and comfortable with excusing their child from participation. Driver’s Ed is offered at school and privately and there is no pressure one way or the other. The same should be true concerning any elective.

Marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman – anything else would be something else.

I am not an advocate for the death penalty.

I am seeking this position because the citizens in our district mean a lot to me. I have seen their rights trampled and their values and traditions destroyed. We need an advocate, someone who is willing to take a stand and not worry about anything but the citizens.

I am committed to serving the people. I will not vote strictly along party lines and I will take a stand without fear of retribution. My office will be open to you and I welcome your input.

How will I vote?

1. Is it Constitutional?

2. Do the citizens in my district support it?

3. Will it encourage economic prosperity?

If the answers are yes, I will support the bill. I will however be wary of any strings that are attached, in which case see #1.

I would be honored to have your support. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to chat about anything else.  My direct number is 360-204-9636.
